Maestro modular budget office furniture
findout
The Maestro range of business furniture manufactured by Dams International is one of the most popular ranges of business furniture ever manufactured. The success of Maestro office furniture is based upon a winning formula of Maestro offering superb value for money, Maestro products are very hard wearing and functional, and Maestro offers a huge variety of modular furniture products. Maestro is an excellent choice for either budget conscious firms or the home office furniture user.
Maestro desks are available in a choice of three basic shapes (L shaped, wave and rectangular desks) each with a selection of sizes and a choice of leg designs from wooden panel end and the more popular steel cantilever design. In previous years Maestro products have been manufactured in several different melamine faced woodgrain effect finishes. Recently the range has been limited to either beech or oak woodgrain finish, though the cherry finish and light grey furniture has only recently been discontinued and for limited items residual stocks may still be available. Several years ago Meastro range was available in white though it could never be ordered as a fashionable black desks range.
If there is a possible shortcoming of Maestro office furniture, it is the fact that it is manufactured from 18mm MFC woodgrain effect chipboard which could be deemed to be a little too inexpensive for some customers requirements, though it’s hard wearing rugged durability should not be in doubt despite its low cost. The commercial office furniture market has leaned firmly in favour of 25mm furniture products over the last few years which often looks much more expensive. A sensible upgrade path from Maestro is the Maestro 25 furniture range (also known as M25 range).
Maestro 25 desks are only around 10% or 15% more expensive than Maestro desking, but aesthetically they look a far superior quality and give a more positive impression. The two ranges can be fitted in the same office and will not stick out like a sore thumb. A key factor to note is that M25 desks are only available in standard metric sizes (800mm deep and metric widths like 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm etc.) whereas Maestro desking comes in various non standard depths and widths (746mm deep and widths such as 1228mm, 1532mm, 1778mm etc.) The range mismatch is only an issue if you try to fit a Maestro 25 desk adjacent to a cluster of original Maestro desks.
